Although you can place Unilock Pre-built units directly on a compacted gravel base, we recommend that you install a concrete pad in order to facilitate a rapid installation and to avoid any possible future settlement. Below is an example of how this pad is constructed. Again, the frost protection foundation tubes are not required, but are there for your protection and peace-of-mind.
